Drum Kit Vault is a huge hip hop drum kit resource built from over 1300 drum and percussion samples, featuring 200 ready-built hip hop kits and MIDI grooves for the MPC Sample. This kit includes .xpj files for plug and play simplicity.
All kits feature perfectly matched kick, snare, closed hat, open hat, clap, shaker, cymbal and percussion, all with the same layout for easy mixing & matching with your sequences. The inspiration is distinctly boom bap & 90s Underground Hip Hop, but suitable for any beat-driven genre.
We’ve also taken all the kicks, snares and claps from the library and created an additional 500 ‘split’ samples using spectral editing techniques, along with a collection of essential noise samples, presented both as loops (for layering over entire songs and breaks) and as one shots (for individual drum layering).
Prefer to roll your own kits? Drum Kit Vault can also be used as an extensive one-shot drum library; all individual drum samples are fully tagged using standard Akai file naming conventions so you can quickly and easily use the one shot drum library to build your own custom kits.
Drum Kit Vault is fully compatible with the MPC Sample running firmware 1.3 or greater.
