MPC1000 using the metal encoder will behave differently when using the older operating systems. Please upgrade OS to JJ OS for best results to change encoder types. You can also update to the newest Akai OS to operate the newer style metal encoders.

On some MPC1000 units you may have to shave a bit of the top of the encoder so it does not create friction against the casing. This is rare and easy to fix.
